If you’ve spent any time in downtown Centralia, chances are you’ve experienced the charm of The Hometown Shoppe, a place where sweet treats and even sweeter moments come together.

The vision behind The Hometown Shoppe began during a time of transition, when owner Krissi Davenport knew it was time for a career change but didn’t want to lose her connection to families and the community. Inspired by the way small towns bring people together, she set out to create a space where friends and families could gather, relax, and simply enjoy time together. That vision is exactly what she’s built.

While there hasn’t been one defining moment, it’s the everyday interactions that mean the most. From kids stopping in after ball games to families celebrating milestones, and even weekly groups who gather just to catch up, The Hometown Shoppe has become a place where memories are made in the smallest, most meaningful ways.

What truly sets them apart is their creativity and variety. With ever-changing drink combinations, fun flavors, and themed specials, there’s always something new to try. Whether it’s a loaded tea, a dirty soda, or an over-the-top dessert, every visit feels a little different, a little special, and always worth it.

Being part of the Centralia community is something they don’t take lightly. With strong support for local businesses and a true sense of connection, it’s a place where people show up for one another. Through fundraisers, donations, and local event involvement, The Hometown Shoppe is proud to give back and be part of what makes this community so strong.

Behind the scenes, it’s a true family effort, one of the things Krissi is most proud of. That support system helps make everything possible and is a big part of the heart behind the business.

Looking ahead, they’re especially excited for Anchor Fest 2026. Be sure to stop by their booth on the south side of the square, where they’ll be serving up Dirty Sodas and other tasty treats all weekend long. It’s the perfect stop while you’re enjoying everything the festival has to offer!

At the end of the day, their goal is simple: to create a space where people feel connected, welcomed, and happy they stopped in. Because as Krissi says, “Life is short—make it sweet, and make it meaningful.”
