What started as a lifelong dream became reality in 2021 when Los Perez Mexican Restaurant & Cantina opened its doors in Shelbyville. Founded by husband and wife duo Osbin Perez and Marlys Perez Anderson, the restaurant was built on a passion for authentic Spanish cuisine and a deep desire to share that culture with others. In 2023, Los Perez brought that same energy and flavor to Centralia, where it has since become a local favorite.

Known for their fresh, high-quality ingredients and welcoming atmosphere, Los Perez is more than just a place to eat—it’s a place where the community comes together. From handmade pupusas to slow-cooked meats and house-made sauces, everything is prepared daily with care and intention.

“What makes us different is that we treat everyone like family,” says owner Marlys Perez Anderson. “We’re more than a restaurant; we’re a place where people gather, celebrate, and feel at home.”

Their commitment to community runs deep. Los Perez regularly gives back by supporting local schools, donating meals to events, and helping with causes that matter most to Centralia families. Becoming a Chamber member was a natural extension of that commitment, allowing the business to build relationships and grow alongside other local entrepreneurs.

Like any small business, the journey hasn’t been without its challenges—but each hurdle has come with a lesson.

“Every setback has taught us something that helped move the business forward,” Marlys reflects.

From the kitchen to the community, Los Perez continues to serve with heart, flavor, and a commitment to making everyone feel like family.
