When Dr. Jared Buescher talks about his journey into dentistry, it’s clear that every step brought him closer to where he truly wanted to be. He began his career as an RN in Columbia before pursuing dental school, eventually graduating in 2022. After working in several practices across central Missouri, he found himself drawn to a team and patient community right here in Centralia—so much so that he made the decision to purchase the practice from Smile Dental in October 2025. “I enjoyed the patients and team so much that I wanted to make it my own,” he shared.

One of the things Dr. Buescher appreciates most about Centralia is the strong sense of community that defines the town. To him, Centralia is a place where people look out for each other, take pride in their home, and value genuine connection. He describes it as a town with “great values and a great sense of belonging,” and that feeling of belonging is reflected in the way he approaches patient care.

What sets his practice apart is a commitment to bringing modern, digital dentistry to Centralia in a way that feels approachable and reassuring for patients. Dr. Buescher has a clear vision for the type of care he wants to offer—care that is both advanced and personal. He said, “I want to make modern, digital dentistry available and accessible in Centralia in an approachable manner.” One of his most exciting recent additions is a 3D X-ray system that allows detailed imaging right in the office, saving patients a trip out of town.

Becoming part of the Chamber of Commerce was another meaningful step for him. He values that the Chamber feels like a true community of business owners—one where people genuinely know and support each other. He joined because he sees the Chamber as an organization that strengthens Centralia and helps build the connections that make small towns special.

As a new business owner, Dr. Buescher understands the challenges that come with stepping into ownership. He encourages others who are considering that leap to trust themselves and move forward with courage. “It’s difficult, but just take the leap if owning is something you’ve considered,” he said. For him, the reward lies in creating something meaningful for his family, his team, and the community he now serves.

He also enjoys giving back by being present at local festivals and town events—moments that allow him to meet new people and stay closely connected with residents. And while he’s already accomplished a great deal, he emphasizes that his work is far from over. He doesn’t take the responsibility of business ownership in Centralia lightly. His goal is to continue improving patient care, expanding services, and making dentistry feel more approachable for everyone.

At the heart of his approach is a simple belief: “You can’t do it all by yourself—you have to have a good team.” And with that team, along with a community he cares deeply about, Dr. Buescher is excited for the future of dentistry in Centralia.
