84 Construction
Dale’s journey into construction started early. Raised by a master plumber, he learned the trade as a child and went on to spend years on the road as a pipe fitter and welder. In 2013, he put down roots in Boone County and launched 84 Construction, initially focusing on rental flips and handyman work while continuing to refine his craft. In 2019, Kimberly officially joined the business, and together they took things to the next level – rebranding in 2022 with an official logo, website, and a focused specialty in bathroom and interior remodeling.
In spring of 2024, they opened the doors to their Allen Street office, giving the business a true “front door.” Their hope? To make customers feel comfortable, welcome, and confident from the moment they walk in. Most days, you’ll find one of the owners – or their office manager – ready to greet you and talk through your project.
What keeps Dale and Kimberly motivated is simple but powerful: the moment they see relief on a customer’s face. Many of the homes they work in have spaces that are unsafe or no longer functional. Being able to restore comfort, security, and peace of mind is what makes the hard work worth it.
That care shows in how they approach every job. As a truly all-encompassing company- handling everything from plumbing and electrical work to flooring, drywall, tile, and appliance installation- 84 Construction is able to think through projects from every angle. This holistic approach minimizes delays, limits complications, and ensures a polished, professional result. They even offer 2D and 3D renderings, allowing customers to see their project come to life before work begins- down to the smallest details.
The Evans family also believes strongly in giving back. Kimberly serves on the Family Leadership Committee for First Chance for Children, Boone County’s only diaper bank, which also receives 84 Construction’s annual toy donation. The business supports local high school athletics and activities, sponsors a hands-on play space at Tiny Play Cafe in Columbia, and- fun fact- Kimberly is also a valued member of the Centralia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Looking ahead, Dale and Kimberly have some exciting plans in the works – including big retail ideas for a couple of historic downtown Centralia buildings. Stay tuned!
At the heart of everything they do is a simple philosophy:
“Do a good job, and the rest will just happen.”
Their goal is to make life a little easier for the people they serve – because while not everyone can afford a full remodel, everyone deserves a home that works for them.
84 Construction is more than a remodeling company – they’re neighbors, problem-solvers, and proud partners in building a stronger Centralia.
