
41st Prairie Queen Quilt Show “Artistic Treasures”

This is an exciting time for the Centralia Historical Society as we
prepare for the 41st Prairie Queen Quilt Show “Artistic Treasures” which
will open Sunday, October 5 and each Wednesday and Sunday, from 2 p.m. –
4 p.m. until Sunday November 2, at which time the favorite quilt voted
by ballot will be announced at 4 p.m.
The generosity of people sharing their treasured quilts, wall hangings,
table covers, and pillows is greatly appreciated. Anyone who has a
favorite quilted, handmade piece is encouraged to bring it. Items of
all designs are requested to make a successful display. Needlework
items are also requested for display during the show. Items will be
received Friday, Sept. 26, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 28,
2-4p.m., Monday, Sept. 29, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and Tuesday, September 30, from
9 a.m.- 3 p.m.
Quilt drawing, “Celebrating America 250”, 92”x 102” quilt will be held
on the last day of the show, November 2 at 4 p.m. the closing of the
show. The quilt will be on display at the museum until the drawing.
