DESCRIPTION:Centralia Historical Society Museum\n319 E. Sneed\n2:00-4:00 Sunday and Wednesdays \nThis is an exciting time for the Centralia Historical Society as we\nprepare for the 41st Prairie Queen Quilt Show “Artistic Treasures” which\nwill open Sunday\, October 5 and each Wednesday and Sunday\, from 2 p.m. –\n4 p.m. until Sunday November 2\, at which time the favorite quilt voted\nby ballot will be announced at 4 p.m. \nThe generosity of people sharing their treasured quilts\, wall hangings\,\ntable covers\, and pillows is greatly appreciated.  Anyone who has a\nfavorite quilted\, handmade piece is encouraged to bring it.  Items of\nall designs are requested to make a successful display.  Needlework\nitems are also requested for display during the show.  Items will be\nreceived Friday\, Sept. 26\, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.\, Sunday\, Sept. 28\,\n2-4p.m.\, Monday\, Sept. 29\, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and Tuesday\, September 30\, from\n9 a.m.- 3 p.m. \nQuilt drawing\, “Celebrating America 250”\, 92”x 102” quilt will be held\non the last day of the show\, November 2 at 4 p.m. the closing of the\nshow.  The quilt will be on display at the museum until the drawing.

DESCRIPTION:The Centralia Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the return of the Anchor Festival Fun Run. This 1-mile race will double as a fundraiser for the Outdoor Classroom at Centralia Intermediate School. We could not pull this off without the support of Griffin Anderson – Iron Gate Real Estate\, Gooding Rentals\, and the Centralia Intermediate School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). \nDue to a generous sponsorship from Gooding Rentals\, we have a limited supply of free t-shirts for participants\, making our cost to participate lower. We cannot thank Gooding Rentals enough for their support! \nDETAILS:\nSaturday\, May 31st\nCheck-In at 7:15 AM in Downtown (more information coming soon)\nRace Starts at 8:00 AM (more information coming soon) \nCOST:\n$5 for Children (through high school)\n$10 for Adults\nAll money will go directly to helping the CIS Outdoor Classroom. There will also be a donation box the day of the event for those that wish to help further. \nRegister here!
